Cyprus EPR — Packaging and Packaging Waste Law (N.32(I)/2002). The regulatory authority is Department of Environment, operating through the Green Dot Cyprus system.

All producers, importers, online sellers, and fulfillment service providers placing packaged goods on the Cyprus market must register with a PRO and fulfill EPR obligations. Non-Cyprus sellers must appoint an Authorized Representative.

Green Dot Cyprus (ΑΦΗΣ — Σύστημα Συλλογικής Εναλλακτικής Διαχείρισης Συσκευασιών) is the sole approved compliance scheme for packaging in Cyprus. All producers placing packaged products on the Cypriot market must join Green Dot Cyprus:

Registration: greendot.com.cy — Department of Environment

Reporting & Deadlines: Annual by March 31. Packaging data must be reported by material type and weight. Reports are submitted through Department of Environment.

Maximum Fine: €50,000. Non-compliance with Cyprus EPR regulations can result in fines, marketplace listing deactivation, and legal consequences. Amazon and other marketplaces may independently verify compliance and suspend non-compliant sellers.

Green Dot membership for all producers/importers placing packaging on CY market

If you sell on Amazon, eBay, or other marketplaces and ship products to Cyprus, you are responsible for EPR compliance in this market. The "pay on behalf" model is ending — marketplaces will no longer handle this for you. Register now to avoid listing deactivation.
