Denmark EPR — Bekendtgørelse om emballageaffald. The regulatory authority is Danish EPA (Miljøstyrelsen), operating through the Dansk Producentansvar system.

All producers, importers, online sellers, and fulfillment service providers placing packaged goods on the Denmark market must register with a PRO and fulfill EPR obligations. Non-Denmark sellers must appoint an Authorized Representative.

Denmark implemented its packaging EPR system in 2025, becoming one of the last EU countries to do so. Producers must register with DPA (Dansk Producentansvar — Danish Producer Responsibility) and contract with an approved collective scheme:

Reporting & Deadlines: Annual by March 31. Packaging data must be reported by material type and weight. Reports are submitted through Danish Producer Responsibility Register.

Maximum Fine: DKK 500,000 (~€67,000). Non-compliance with Denmark EPR regulations can result in fines, marketplace listing deactivation, and legal consequences. Amazon and other marketplaces may independently verify compliance and suspend non-compliant sellers.

If you sell on Amazon, eBay, or other marketplaces and ship products to Denmark, you are responsible for EPR compliance in this market. The "pay on behalf" model is ending — marketplaces will no longer handle this for you. Register now to avoid listing deactivation.
